Why does everyone try to anticipate movie endings?

Am I the only one that, in the middle of a movie, never thinks to himself, "Hm so this is probably what's going to happen at the end?" It's almost as if movie critics go into the theatres trying to solve a mystery instead of enjoying the movie as it goes. I just finished watching Matchstick Men, and I was too caught up in the movie to even think what was going to happen a minute later, let alone predict the end of the movie.

Because people suck giant donkey nuts.

I hate when people say "I knew how it was going to end 5 minutes into the movie."

Those people are all full of horseshit, they probably couldn't predict the end of Glitter properly if you stopped the movie 5 minutes in and made them write it down.

Yea, I really liked Matchstick men. I didn't even notice when the end of the movie came around. I really thought he was going to pul some grand scheme and get them all back, but I guess he found happiness instead.

Yeah I hate those people almost as much as I hate the people who critique movies citing such things as the "editing." STFU, you ass-clowns.

I do it for the opposite reason. I hate predictable movies. I would much prefer not being able to predict the ending. It makes it that much more entertaining.

my roommate does that all the time. and he loves to blurt them out like.....he's gonna die! it just totally ruins the suspense of the movie. i dont watch DVDs with him anymore because of this. my exroomate would give a running commentary and try to have arguments in the middle of a movie.
