Why does everyone on these boards hate Linkin Park?

I don't hate Linkin Park. I think their second CD wasn't up to par as their first was but I don't hate them.

I don't hate whats popular at the moment, I just don't like to listen to crappy music, and most of the clear channel bullsh!t is just that...bullsh!t.

I really enjoy LP myself... yet I always see them trashed here. Meanwhile, I haven't passed judgement on Ev. but that one song of theirs is SOOOOOO fscking played out it bothers the hell out of me. Yet I have literally seen a dozen threads here praising them. wtf...

I don't hate them but their good songs are far and few between.

I don't particularly like Evanesence either.

Linkin Park: The toughest boy band in the buisness.

But they are still a boy band.

Evanescence: Another strong female lead.

People are almost always fond of a strong female lead. Especially if she looks good too. No Doubt had this propell them into the spotlight. They where nothing until Gwen Stefani took the spot.

That pretty much sums it up. BTW, these are not exactly my views. They are generalizations attempting to answer your question.
