Why does everyone bash McDonalds?

I mean, some of their stuff is pretty good.. like the Chicken Hamburgers and the Salads.. not to mention the fries that are second to Burger Kings.

Everyone here recommends Wendy's Hamburgers.. but they just don't do it for me... the taste is so dull. And the fries suck arse.

Mcdonalds > Wendy's, IMO.

In addition, I'm 6'1 / 140 lbs.. so wouldn't I need more fat anyway? -_-

healthy != not fat

There's so much more crap in McD's food than fat - trans fat (which is absolutely horrible for you, even if you're skinny), cholesterol, excess sodium, etc etc the list goes on.

Mind you, this isn't exclusive to McDs, it's all fast food. But McDs seems to be the figurehead for fast food in general.

most of their food tastes horrible. BK and Hardees have the best burgers. wendy's and mcds fries suck. bk's fried aren't bad. arby's probably has the best fries - curly spicy fries ftw!

Ah, I think I had similar fries at Popeyes (in reference to Arby's). Those were the best fries ever. Ever.

I think McDonald's cheeseburgers are pretty good. I hate all their other food but I like the simplicity of the cheeseburgers.

because people watch stuff like super size me, and then they tell themselves "OMG THIS FOOD SUCKS" and they convince themselves it tastes bad as well and it will kill you if you eat it more than once a millenium.

Also, their hash browns rock.

Their coffee is pretty good too now that they've revised it.

I'm not a fan of their burgers.
Their chicken sammiches are pretty decent, but I like Wendy's spicy chicken better.


EDIT:
For Lunch today I had a spicy chicken sammich, two quarter pound double stacks, a large fries, a small chilli, and a large coke. That's over 2600 calories. I was shooting for "a moderate sized meal for under $10" for lunch today, but I feel as if I could probably still eat one or two more quarter pounders. Ahh well ...

Have you tried the burger with the philly cheese steak on top of it? I felt my arteries clogging as I ate it, but damn it was good.

Says 220 calories. The % DVs on the rest don't seem that bad either.

thats if you take maybe the breaded chicken or use their stupid dressings. I use my own dressing.
