why does every copy of 12.60 have "1.2.4.0" in the inf?

Any ideas? Those of you who have applied 12.60, please check your video driver details and tell me if it reads "12.40." If it's "12.60" please provide the link where you got it. Thanks.

Someone please respond. This will take less than one minute of your time... If you're using Nvidia 12.60's:

1) Right (seconday)-click on your desktop and click Properties.
2) Click the Settings tab.
3) Click the Advanced button.
4) Click the Adapter tab.
5) Click the Properties button.
6) Click the Driver tab.
7) Report what comes after "Driver Version:"

You can also go to Control Panel | Display, or Device Manager | Display Adapters, etc.

Thanks.

Mine reads the same way..... but if you go to your display adapter information/driver version information, you'll see that every driver in there is listed as 5.13.01.1260.
These drivers run better than any others I've tried for my G3. I don't think you need to worry about it. Look at your display adapter information and see how the drivers are listed.

My GF3 properties list it the same as yours, but I was curious why Windows display properties listed it differently. I think I downloaded one copy of 12.60 that Windows labelled as "12.60," but I lost it and I believe it came from 3Dchipset.com (closed). Maybe someone just changed 12.40 to 12.60 in the .inf...

your right celeritas... I just looked at the inf file of the 12.40's I had a copy of and of the 12.60's - they are the same. I didn't think much about it when I installed them but I know that I can't initialize antialiasing in the desktop properties (grayed out) and I've had to use NVmax to enable it along with other tweaks. I thought is was because I was using Win2k that I didn't have access to these properties anymore. I dl'd these drivers from M3DZone.com.
Beats me.

I got my "12.60" from there, too -- as well as from a few other places. I remember visiting a site that had v5 -> v12 drivers on it, but I lost the link. It's too bad some lamer(s) DoS'd 3dchipset.
