Chipotle is not what most consider FF. There is no drive through and they serve alcohol in many places. Even so, it's probably considered "Fast Casual," like Five Guys/Subway, by many, which I'm more inclined to agree with.

/facepalm.

Chipoltes sucks, and it is fast food. If you can order online and not even have to wait in line, that is the definition of fast food. I even prefer Moe's over it, and that isn't saying much.

Luckily I have a couple local Mexican restaurants near where I live that give me giant portions of meat for the same cost of these fast food places.

This reminds me of how pissed off I get when I order a hamburger and it comes with lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, etc. on it. WTF? Fill that space with more meat damnit. I didn't order a meat/lettuce/tomato/pickle/onion/etc. sandwich.

BTW, never been to a Chipotles but have been to a Blue Coast where they put rice on their burritos as well. I actually prefer it that way now.

OP = tool, ask for it without then.

Also it was a "beloved patriot" in Denver that made the company.

For the record I am not impressed with their food either though, refried >>>>> pinto > black beans

Eh? I think I'm missing something here.

it sounds funny, basically.

why does anyone ask for a burrito recipe? shove in some beans, some meat, some peppers and onions, whatever. ...especially at Chiptole, where you SEE everything in front of you. if you can't pick up on how to make one when it is prepared in front of you time after time, then, well....there is little hope.

I cna understand wanting to know how they prepare their carnitas, and such, but that in itself is a little naive. they tell you what it is, just go figure out how to make your own carnitas if you must. it's not exactly required to make a burrito, nor is it exclusive to burrito construction.

yes, I am over-analyzing a simple question.

In way after the "Chipotle is not Mexican food, I've eatin at one hundred super awesome hole-in-the-wall places that are one hundred times better"

And for the record, the burrito bowl is where it's at, screw the crappy flour tortilla. Bowl with rice, black beans, chicken, and hot salsa is all good.

 I always go for the bowl now. For some ~10 years, my call has always been:

1/2 fajitas
1/2 black beans
ALL salsas (verde and pico de gallo, mostly)
lettuce
cheese
80% of the time it's carnitas; 20% it's chicken

yum

they don't use basmati rice, its just regular white rice. The ingredients are vegetable (soybean) oil, cilantro, citrus juice (lemon and lime), and kosher salt. And the rice is cooked with a few bay leaves in it.

I used to work there so I know this firsthand.

Hi, Im an ATOTer. I don't like anything popular, such as Chipotle. This proves that I am in fact better than the people who wait in long lines for Chipotle on a daily basis.

Carry on.

Wat?

We will be judge of what is acceptable! Everyone else can gtfo.

Chipotles = :thumbsdown:

Personally my favorite is Moe's Southwest Grill. They have a salsa bar with many flavors/hotness, and you get unlimited chips and salsa.

been to multiple Moe's multiple times and every time I've hated every salsa flavor they have :(

You are an idiot... not for thinking it's fast food (you are entitled to that opinion), but for thinking that online ordering somehow makes or proves it such when the reality is exactly the opposite. Can you order online at ANY of the major fast food chains? McDonald's? Burger King? Hardee's/Carl's Jr? Jack in the Box? Chik-fil-a? No, but you can submit an order online or by fax to just about any NON fast-food restaurant chain.

Fax/online ordering is particularly meant to cater to the "on lunch break from work and don't want fast food" crowd so that their food can be "fast enough" to compete with fast food, which slows down significantly with all the lunch break traffic clogging the drive through.

Yes, you can order pizza online but guess what? Pizza is junk food, not "fast food." Though there is significant cross-over between the two, there is a notable difference. I remember when "pizza" meant "sit down and be served by wait staff" before the convenience of delivery or "Hot-n-Ready" became the normal expectation.

Chipotle didn't even have online ordering until about a year and a half ago and it was only by fax before then... the same as many other INDISPUTABLY NOT fast-food restaurants.

Wat?

There you go again... adding a letter s like an idiot even after being called out on it. It's CHIPOTLE, damn it. "Chipotle" is short for "Chipotle Mexican Grill." Got it? It's not a name of an owner, so where the hell would you get the letter s from?

It's funny because he fixed it, and it's still wrong.

Chipotles is more premium than taco bell, that's for sure. And it isn't fast food. Because on your lunch break you can order it and it's fast enough, but not like super fast like mcdonalds. And it doesn't have a drive through either.

why does everyone hate on chipotle? It has quality ingredients and it tastes great.

What specifically don't you like about it?

I don't like that it doesn't taste all that good to me. I live in an area with about 100 hole in the wall taco shops. I'm not one of those idiots who spouts off how all hole in the wall diners are 1,000,000 timbers better than a chain. Hell I don't even like most of them around here, but there are a few gooooood ones I do like. Well, if you ever ate at them you'd probably have a hard time going back to Chipotle. There's one up the street from me that makes everything from scratch, even the tortillas. I could eat there twice a day for the rest of my life and still love the place. But like I said I absolutely hate 99% of the taco shops around here and would eat at Chipotle over a lot of them.

houston is swimming in burrito places right now. chipotle from denver, freebird's from college station, and the home grown bullritos (brought to you by the same people as beloved patriot's and gringeaux). there's also a couple mission burritos around still.

I'll have to check out Bullritos next time I'm in Houston. I like Chipotle and Freebirds.

yes there are and I still haven't even tried Pho.
I love Asian foods though just haven't gotten the chance to try it.

It's incredible, you're missing out.

i prefer Qdoba, and unless you have a social anxiety disorder, it really shouldn't be that hard to say "no rice"

Qdoba bugs the hell out of me because I have been there 4 times and every time the burrito broke. If you sell burritos you should have strong enough tortillas to actually hold the burrito. I'm boycotting them.
