Why does Anandtech seem so slow lately ?

Could it have something to do with the number of users logged in? In the recent past, the number of users has rarely topped 550, but lately, it's not unusual to see over 600 logged in at any one time.

There's 681 logged in as I type.
 
I was unable to surf the site last night at all. It died. Bummer. I thought some hacker hosed your servers or something. Oh well. I'm sure you all will get it up and running normally again. 🙁
