Why does a fscking text editor has an 600 page manual?

Vi is overkill but it is very powerful. I saw my professor use it when he was editing his webpage, he knew all of the short cuts and every feature. Very powerful...
But of course it's overkill! It's linux....

I like it over EMacs but I'd use kwrite otherwise.
