Why do you read/post on Anandtech forum?

I've been a lurker for many years, and just recently started posting. The main reason im on Anandtech forums is for entertainment. You kids crack me up! The YAGT is very entertaining because most of you seem clueless and either very shy or have self esteem issues. Dont worry though, just make money and everything will be alright.

The main forum i used to lurk in was autoweeks, but there forum shut down about six months ago, so now, here i am in Anandtech.

So why do you read/post on anandtech?

1. entertainment
2. make friends
3. lonely
4. belonging
5. bored out of your mind
 
it gives me something to do while at work to keep me from falling asleep from massive reading that comes w/ the training i'm doing...

so 5
 
easy. i am retired. I don't care to go into town and goof off or drink etc.

its a good time waster and enjoy the arguments and such.

It is very neat 😱 to me to be a part of such a diverse online community. There are some amazing folks on here that have been extremely helpful to me. I have met some nice folks IRL from here as well. Also, at first, it was because i was bored and it gave me something to do, now, i cannot go one day without seeing whats going on here.

I have been posting on AT since 1999 (I was ~11 back then so who knows what my E-Mail and Password were). Since that time, I have learned more about computers and technology than I ever could have hoped to during that time. Despite the obvious exceptions, AT is and awesome forum where people will always help you out in some way shape or form. :thumbsup:

In short, I love posting here for every reason!
