Why Do You Declare Owning Someone?

Why Do You Declare Owning Someone?

  • The person I owned is too stupid to figure it out, so, I have to point it out to her/him.

  • It is a cheap and weak defensive reply that I use, in hopes that I scare off the other person.

  • I am a raging moron.

  • Other (please post what your other reason(s) are below).

I am not sure why people throw out the whole; "I JUST PWNED YOU, SUCKA!!!",.. so, I'd like to get a better understanding on this widely used statement.

EDIT:
Oh wow,.. I botched this one,..

Internet tough guy syndrome. It's a way that aspiring trolls attempt to express their alpha-dominance over other Internet users.

how often do you actually see this? I don't ever really recall seeing it when I played online games.

it's fine if somebody else says it.

If you say it, you look like a loser, and it's also childish. It's also not something that makes sense in real life imho.
So I voted raging moron.

I simply follow the simple rule of internet gaming: If I beat you, you're a noob; if you beat me, you're a no life nerd.

I would assume it's exclusively used by triskaidekaphobics who aren't familiar with the contents of the Thirteenth Amendment.

I usually stick to "fuxxor3d" like how I roxxor3d ur mumz for my taste of chat to real speak.

Only real one I've heard in real life is how someone's going to "have my ass".

Well, I'd like to declare owning someone, but, I need to grasp the basis of it.

Am I doing it because the person is too stupid to figure it out?

Am I doing it because it's a weak attempt at trying to make the person back off?

Or, am I a raging moron?

I need to get into the proper mind set here.
