I can't fully appreciate this, as I have no FB, Twitter or G+ account. Makes me glad I don't. Leave that to all you young people with your heads buried in your phones.
An owner of confectionery shop decided to advertise on a political talk radio program. People using social media decided to create a boycott and threatened to bring picket lines to her store for "supporting hate speech". Instead she came out with new products to parody the protesters, and got the talk show behind her. The protesters never showed up. She got free advertising and ended up doing more business over a couple weeks. So sometimes this social media stuff backfires.
