Why do we allow so few to hoard to much wealth?

FACT the top 1% hold more than 40% of the world wealth, FACT the top 10% hold more than 85% of the world wealth, and the bottom 50% of the world has less than 1% of the world wealth.

Seems to me we are allowing the top to hoard all of the resources and wealth, while the bottom to get nothing. These people collect all of this wealth that they don't need, while people in countries like Uganda can't even get enough water to drink.

Something needs to be done about this.

Study and work hard, with some ingenuity and a little luck, one can move up from the bottom 10%.

Also, where is my Fascist440 member?

I suppose for the same reason we allow people like you to hoard all the stupidity.

Ending "hoarding" of land by The Evil Whitey worked great in Zimbabwe . . . didn't it?

Plenty of food, jobs and stuffs for all the good peoples?

I asked you to give me an example of a billionaire living in a small house with one car and that will be your hoarder. The rest of them spend money spreading their wealth around and creating jobs. I guess you are just too stupid to understand that and too much of a whiner because you think you should have the same with no risk and no effort.

Ignorance of our real chances and luck and factors we cannot control combined with greed and the pathetically dismal desire to one day be one of those filthy rich though it will never be a reality for us.

What do you mean "allow"? It's not my place to tell them what to do with their money.

Also, frankly, the problems faced in nations like Nigeria go far beyond hoarding of health. There are societal problems in many (most?) third world nations that even money can't fix.

Think about this:

Say I make a million dollars a year and I live in a shack, I put all my money in the bank, buy stocks etc

When I get my interest and dividends I just buy more stocks and put more money in the bank.

My money in the bank goes to people to get loans for houses, cars, start a new business, the money I put into stocks provides capital for businesses which provides people with more jobs and helping the economy even more.

I buy nothing for my own indulgence.

I work and provide $1 million dollars of productivity a year to society, and I accept worthless green pieces of paper in return.

According to the OP I'm an "evil" hoarder though.

Even if I did actually "hoard" mountains of cash in my basement I would *still* be helping society by causing the overall price level to drop because I'm deflating the money supply.

Does this mean you'll vote against any taxes whatsoever since it isn't your place to tell people what to do with their money?

No, it means that I responded to the specific question(s) posed in the original post.

Right. Without those billionaires there is no money in the banks. No money in the banks means no loans. No loans means no new cars, no new houses, no new businesses.

Those type of people are so few in numbers now. Most were people who lived through the great depression and never trusted banks again. You would hear stories of people dying and found with millions in their matresses or in a trunk. You just don't hear about that anymore.

So you don't believe we should tax the rich 1% because you don't believe we should tell them what to do with their money.

Q: Why do we allow so few to hoard to[sic] much wealth?
A: Because Communism does not work.

What are "the top 1%" doing to PREVENT people in countries like Uganda from getting enough water to drink? Are they hoarding the world's water supply? Are they hoarding the materials necessary to deliver water? For the most part, "The Rich" are just hoarding magnetic bits in a bank computer.

Why are the people in Uganda not responsible for improving the living conditions of the citizens of the U.S.?

What have you done yourself to provide water to Ugandans? Why is it not your responsibility?

Tell that to this kid

And what have *you* told that kid?

That you will vote someone into our federal government with the intentions of taking someone else's money and giving it to this kid? Is that your justification? Is that what helps you sleep at night?

I'll refer this kid to Angelina Jolie, that filthy 1%er and her evil ways.

if you're so bitter you can always resort to our more primitive ways which is to kill them and take it from them.
