Why do Venice chip have different volt?

Just wondering cause the 3K has 1.35 ten it jumps tp 1,5 and back down to 1.35 for the 3800 😕

Do you mean the Cool n' Quiet? The CPU frequency and voltage varies at run time due to the Cool n' Quiet technology which designs to minimise heat and power dissipation during low system usage

You can disable it

No he is referring to the different speed grades.

For example:

The 3000+ has a stock voltage of 1.35V
Then IIRC the 3400+ has a 1.5V stock
Then the 3800+ has a 1.35 stock.

LED, i THINK you are looking at difference cores. I believe the first and last ones you are referring to are Venice's, while the middle one is either Winchester or Newcastle.

ahhh, great job catching that. yeah, what ^^he said. the venice's use way less volts than the older hammers and newcastles.

Venice cores do seem to have varying vcores.

Mine was 1.4V (the most common), but some lucky people are getting Venices with stock vcore of 1.3V :Q 😀

No they do have varying Vcores. Some of the old TbredBs I had would have the same PR rating(1700+) but the better OCers came at lower default stock voltage.

The 1.5V is a typo. Hammers and Newcastles were 1.5V, Winchesters and Venices are 1.4V or lower.

exactly, hammers and newcastles are 130, the newer cores are 90 and thus require less voltage
