Why do they still make fullscreen dvd's?

sometimes i'd rather watch it fullscreen on my computer. Widescreen on a 17-19 inch monitor can be annoying at times.

But for the most part, I still watch widescreen on my computer regardless

on my T.V widescreens are fullscreen. Don't know if that makes sense. When the DVD doesn't support widescreen it's just one big box and it annoys the hell out of me.

i hate when they put fullscreen version of movies within the widescreen ones and the only way to distinguish between the two is by the some stupid little sticker that occasionaly has been forgotten or ripped off.
I ended up getting stuck with a fullscreen version of seabiscuit cause i got it home...pulled it outta the wrap and everything and so couldn't return it or get money back or anything 🙁

Are there really people that would rather watch fullscreen???

yes. i know many people who prefer fullscreen over widescreen -- it drives me INSANE.

Drives me crazy too......but I'm a convert because I used to hate "letterbox" on the TV because I couldn't see a darn thing until I realized I was actually seeing MORE. It just took me a while to come around.

Drakkon, most retailers will let you exchange the DVD from my experience, where did you purchase it?

yes. we oar elitists* like to refer to them as j6p's (joe six-pack's)

*can replace elitists with snobs... you get the idea. 😉

In the past year, i've upgraded to widescreen tv. The bad thing is that my local video store, usually carries more "full Screen" then "wide"; so that really sucks!
