Why do they called it 'Fixing' animals?

I believe its called fixing because it fixed the problem of over crowded animal shelters due
to over breading in animals. They aren't smart enough to ignore their own instinct when it
comes to breading.

Thousands of unwanted animals being destroyed every year is the problem; neutering is the solution. I think it's perfectly appropriate.

Pre-Emptive flame to those insecure males who will undoubtedly anthopomorphize their dogs and declare neutering "cruel and unusual": Go adopt 10,000 strays or STFU. Thanks.

Why do southerners say "I'm fixin to get my hair cut" instead of "I'm getting ready to get my haircut" or "I'm about to get my haircut"?

Someone once bought me a pair of 'Big Dog' brand boxers that had the words "the big fix" embroidered on the elastic band.

I thought it was funny.

Heh. just like humans.
Humans are the worst. Some couples have TOO much time on their hands so what do they do? Do it like rabbits. I'm sick of the gov't rewarding those irresposible adults for having children they can't afford.

I went to high school with this one guy who lived in the dumps. He was one of 8 children and it was a mess seeing kids in diaper running around wildly. Actually his home situation was an improvement over the other homes as his home didn't house multiple families (with 8+ children). Point of the story? Some people are just as dumb (if not dumber) than animals so I'm all for "fixing" humans. ;)

Amen! My dad is a vet, and he helps the humane society in our area place strays and unwanted kittens/puppies. You wouldn't believe how many animals get euthanized every day because they don't have a home. SPAY/NEUTER YOUR PETS!!!

I completely agree with you. Almost all of the cats we have had came from visits to the animal shelter "just to look" as my mom used to put it. :p

Spay or neuter your pet unless it is a purebred and you plan to breed it for money. If the latter is the case, keep it fenced in and away from unintended doggie/kitty partners. kthx

Let me tell you a little story..... I felt it was cruel for me to not give my cats (1male/1female) a chance to reproduce at least once.... anyway... not long afterwards, I found myself with 12 cats distroying everything in sight, running and pooping everywhere..... and I though to myself.... "I'm such a dumb@ss"
SO... big morale of the experience.... fix your pets before it gets out of hand....
