Why do these metal bands always have to scream out of top of the lungs?

I just browsed across mtv's head bangers ball.
Some of these bands actually got a good sound going on,
but then the song got ruined by this plain silly screaming out words.
I am specifically talking about this band called Zao and their song the rising of end.

Goosemaster is right. Just listen to Six Feet Under's cover of You Shook Me All Night Long for a prime example of how little vocal talent the the "singers" of current "metal" bands today have. Worst cover I've ever heard. I've taken shlts that were more melodical than that.

How about Judas Priest, Megadeth, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Anthrax;.....lots of 80's bands, even Metallica.
The definition of metal has changed over the years.
These days, it's usually synonymous with "no talent". Just look at the singers at last years' Ozzfest. Crap, crap, and more crap. Even a chick lead singer, who electronically alters her voice so she sounds like a guy with no talent that screams at the top of his lungs, rather than a girl. (Opeth)
BTW, I stood next that that chick while Superjoint Ritual was playing....if not for all the tatoos, she'd actually be pretty hot.

Yes I know they are old. The ones I have are from the Vegas show and Rock in Rio 3.

I think its funny how hard core bands today are also strraight edge. (no drugs, no sex, no alchohol) but they'll kill you if you do any of those. Now dont get me started on high pitched screaming! MERCYFUL FATE!! King Diamond has an extremely high pitched voice, and a deep voice. His music is awesome. Mercyful Fate is awesome 80's metal, and I recommend them! I suggest yall should listen to "The Oath"

The were out on the old Morpheus years ago. Should be on most any file-sharing app., but they pretty much suck, so people who had them may have deleted them by now.
