Why do some stores make you go through two sets of doors when you enter and exit?

Yep. That way the cold/hot air isn't going straight into the store while both doors are open. Kind of a buffer.

At least..that's what I think.

airlock (heating and cooling), and security. same as apartment buildings.

Sometimes the guy's in security like to trap people between the doors like they do when they play sims.

Yes, insulation, kind of like an airlock.


Some will also use air curtains, which is a "sheet" of air blown downward near the door. They help keep temperature differences out, and can also keep insects out.

Hmm.. So that's what that is..

I always thought it was the weirdest place for a large heater outlet.. LOL.

Seems like they would just use ambient air? Maybe they use hot air to moderate the air getting sucked into the store?

I think it works the same way was why there are two sets of restrooms.

I am not going to test that theory again though...
