OMFG, you know what i hate?

when ppl repeat what you say in the same thread over and over and over again, i mean, like a few lines up someone stated the exact same thing.

most of the time when people are talking the person listening is thinking about what they will say next and not thinking much about what the other person is saying. Therefore when one doesn't even have to listen at all and can just hit reply and type some gibberish then all the better.

Imo, forums are a serialized form of non-verbal communication; each response is a derivation of the previous. Responding without considering what has already been said would be analogous to interrupting a conversation between two people and saying, "What's this conversation about?"

Sometimes people don't have time to read all the responses.
If they took the time to read them all, how would they ever get to 30,000 posts.

This is sort of off topic, but I cannot fricken stand when people echo exactly what you already said only a few posts up. Or when they don't read your post and then they provide an argument that you've already disproven!

anyway seriously though, the only post that i read carefully is the one i'm replying to. i do read the other posts sometimes and if they agree with what i'm posting, all the better.

I find it especially annoying when your response is just a few before the guy who echoes your own.

Monkey!

I think theres to reasons
A) When there 50 replies you just cant be assed
B) for people like me on dial up alot can happen between a refresh and a post so although
noone may have said it when you first wen to post they probably have when you finally do post
