They have to pay higher fees or up their account to a premier account to accept CCs.

Because it costs them more money.

I Heart to use credit card through paypal when they gouge me for shipping.
Otherwise I just use my bank account (more money for them)

paypal takes a % of every transaction when you upgrade your account, it doesnt matter if it comes from a CC or not they still take it

so that's why people like me just have personal accounts without any fees. the limits are I can't accept funds from credit cards and I can only accept $1000 in funds per month. 2 things I can live with, so why should I upgrade and pay fees?

exactly my reasoning - i only wish that more people would actually pay attention to that statement that i put prominently in all my auctions, but i have to deny 50% of all transactions i'd say cuz of idiots who can't/won't read

I gave up and upgraded after 3 people couldn't read that part about non-CC PP. I didn't want to pay to re-list and it was just a small % on small-$ items anyway.

People say the solution to this problem is to open both a personal account and a premier account. Too bad you can only link one to eBay...

Kind of negates the statement when the CC logos are easily viewable in the auction.

I upgraded also, it was worth it for the higher dollar items I have sold. I hate the fee's but do not want to limit my buyers. You will still come out ahead in the long run to upgrade if you sell items frequently.

Correct.

You get charged fees on ALL transactions, even if they are non-credit card funded.

So what is the best way to get money into my paypal account? I don't like the idea of tying it to my bank account... I don't trust the security.
