Do you even know what a pushrod is and what it does?

it opens and closes the valves, so what, i needed something. it is what all the ricers rip on the vette for, and leaf springs, but thats not part of the engine.

sort of.

The pushrod is the middleman of an inblock camshaft system. Cam lobes cause lifters to pump up or down depending, and the pushrod's only job to transfer said motion to the rocker arms. They actually open and close the valves.

Heh.. and this doesn't even take into account rollerized needle-bearing rockers, stud-mounted vs bolted down rockers, and rocker arms of different ratios. Not to mention hydraulic vs. mechanical (yay for adjusting valve lash!) camshafts, nor solid vs. roller.

It's much easier to not actually know anything and just say something like "yeah, you can really feel it when teh VTEC kicks in!"
