Why do professors lie?

My biogeography professor said that the test would be mostly multiple choice, with very little writing. It ended up being 5 short answers and 8 essay questions. :Q Why would she not tell us that from the beginning so we'd know to prepare?

It's one of the only joys they have as professors... They had aspirations of being GREAT. Unfortunately they are stuck being professors. Now they find solace in making everyone else feel mediocre.

Why does it matter the type of test questions for preperation purposes. How would you have prepared differently? Isn't studying, studying? 😕

Because, there is a statistical correlation between college professors and the likelihood for an individual?s trousers to combust spontaneously.

Not sure what you are talking about. All my professors do research all over the world. The professor I'm talking about now is a well known botanist, and does a lot of research in the Andes. They lead quite exciting lives.

Probably different for computer science and engineering professors.
