yep, lots of people who are now in other states went to school somewhere, chances are somebody in your family went to college and naturally you root for that team (unless you dont like that particular family member)

what part of nebraska are you from where a pro team is more than 8 hrs away. From omaha, Kansas city is 2.5 hrs. and from western nebraska, denver cant be that far, its only 8 hrs from omaha. why try to make the state look worse than people already think it is. and u call urself a nebraskan. weak

College football is so much more passionate than professional ball. You have all sorts of rivalries among different teams. Each and every game matters; if you lose even a single game, your whole season can be screwed. The players play like they actually care if they win or lose. There is also the rare occassion that you will personally know some of the players, or that at the very least some of the players might be from your hometown or your general area.
