Why do people name their kids after cars?

LOL, I've met a lot of people with these names, given their socioeconomic backgrounds I can state that 99% of their parents didn't know that the names were old & not related to cars.

I'm sure Shauniqua, Twizilla, etc have roots in Greek mythology too:p

This is the best "Why do people name their kids" thread...

I knew a girl in high school whose name was Shelby. Her dad was a big car guy.

Nickname was actually from when he played football at Etowah High School in Atalla, Alabama.
