I just never recognized it before and now it just seems much more prevalent. Then again I can't listen to a 60 second news update without hearing "Mr. Obama" ever sentence. It's nauseating.

And when listening to interviews and news about Representatives and Senators they are always addressed as "Rep or Congressman" and "Senator". Never Mr.

I thin "Mr." is actually the correct title for a President. It's much the sme as a Warrant Officer in the Army. Their title is "Mr."

I could be wrong though.

Thanks for pointing out what I already knew. The left's label of War Criminal only applies based on party and not actions.

Not necessarily. The real Bush wasn't considered a war criminal by the Dems and neither was his wax headed predecessor Reagan.

In a democratic society unlike a monarchy, the President can be addressed with his first name and it'll not be against any law! You can call him or her as Mr. or Ms. or even Mrs. President (or his or her last name) without any fear of reprisals! That's one thing good about a democratic society; unless of course you are from England and you think we have to addressed our leader as Kings and Queens!

I'm not an Obama fan or anything, but he is the president and I think that office deserves respect. I usually refer to him as "the president", or "president Obama".

I know that every president in my life time has been referred to as President ___, Mr. ____, or just ____ by news organizations and the public. Various Nicknames also apply.

I also noticed that all the major news outlets call him Mr. Obama. Weird.
