Why do people keep offering me $10 less than what I ask in the FS/FT forum?

For the love of god people, quit trying to lowball me. I've had the same mobo and cpu for sale in the FS/FT forum for atleast a couple of months now, and every price point it's been at, people keep wanting to pay me $10 less than I ask. In retrospect, had I taken some early offers, it would've been more than what I'm asking now. But it's just the principle of the thing.

So just a PSA to everyone, pay me what I ask, or don't waste your damn time! I'm not that hard up to sell this stuff to let you fvcking roll over on top of me. I swear, if I was to offer something for $5 shipped, someone would PM me saying that would take it off my hands if I paid them $5, and that it was their final offer.

It's just a counteroffer, nothing to get wound up about. Do you say in your FS/FT thread that the price is firm?

Just price it 10 dollars higher than you actually want for it.:)

I hope one of those people doesn't read this because that will most likely end up in a flame war...

Counter offer somewhere in the middle. This is done everywhere on the boards.

And, BTW, it's called bargaining. If you don't like it, take your stuff to fleabay.

Hahaha.

But PlatinumGold is right, maybe the going FS/FT forum market value is $10 less. The buyers are just curious if you're willing to drop to that level.

It also depends on what the actual cost of the item is as well. If you're selling a $500 item, then offering $490 isn't a bad deal. If you're selling a $20 item, then $10 is lowballing. So, I can't make a judgement without more information.
