I don't get this....most of these people dont like soccer anyways like most americans but why such a perpetual hard on for the WC...
 
That's like asking why do people like to watch american football? It's a stupid question no matter what you insert into the blank.

Why do people like ____________ ? They just do. Get over it.

tried to play it in high school,
I liked Baseball, and Hockey better.
 
you guys were raised in america, being raised in the middle east, soccer is pretty much the only thing they advertise like crazy, and my dad being a soccer watcher, and my buddies being soccer fanatics, i picked up the vibe, soccer is the best sport in the world, period. Soccer then basketball. HEll i started watchin the world cup since 98, omg cherished every moment. Now 2006, this should be fun, but im gonna have to pay for the extra channels...bummer...plus dont know if ill have time to watch all the matches...once ur into it it is very exciting, enjoyable, interesting, cherisable, etc...

Yeah, a lot of people I know are getting pretty excited about the World Cup- I'll watch it.
conversely, I don't know a single hockey fan. Go figure.

Have you watched pass World Cups before?Its really a exciting sports and event to watch.
 
Oh I don't know... It might have something to do with the most common sport in the world, being played for national pride, and it only happens every 4 years.
