This is all assuming the US ever even gets a chance to fight china (should that day ever come.) All you have to do is look at the current growth rate, imported good usage and overall economy of china to realize that soon they will be the dominate country (both militarily, but more importantly, financially as well.)

Did I mention nukes? Not once. You want proof China is really no threat? Look at Taiwan, and the fact it is still standing. China has the people, but not the mobilization to move the people, or the weapons to use the people properly.
if there was a landbrige between the two, that war would have been over, even the US wouldn't have been able to prop up taiwan
and the virtual sex thing, hte same applies for the states, canadians do have a higher rate of broadband penetration but the virtual sex is more the MSN messenger generation that i'm a a part of

Why would they need to move troops?
You mistook me big time. At no point was i saying China is a THREAT (as in able to attack the US HOMELAND or IDEALS, for those of us that need a refresher on words and thier common usage) to us, i was merely saying that their is a country out there stronger then us, a country capable of doing whatever the fvck they want without us being able to use our force (ie, invade) and stop them.
So how does mobilization apply to thier homeland again?
While I can understand the sentiment. I have traveled a lot. The rude american jerk is a minority compared to other countries/travelers.
While i will agree that i have encountered people with worse manners then a lot of americans, i disagree that it is our manners (being rude) that makes us so hated.
As some people have said, they only hate us because there jealous of what we have. Thats a farce, because truth be told, every single major country (China, Russia, Britain, France, Spain, all of the Middle East, most Asian countries) have been around far far far longer then us, and they dont really care about what we have, but they care how we show it.
In college, i have met a few rich kids who i get along with fine, mainly because they never show off thier wealth or make me feel inferior to them. But then i have also encountered a few rich kids who do exactly that, they pretty much think there so much better then me that i should lick their feet or bl0w them........and thats what p!sses me off.
I think its (mostly) the same for the world, that they could care less about what we have, but when we go off showing it (or showing our force, like in the middle east where we dont belong), then they start to hate us.
And of course, the response ill get to this statement (well, the ignorant responses) are also reasons why people hate us...........stop acting like where better then everyone and respect your elders (ie. every other major country in the world, including the middle east)
Americans are disliked because they are narrow-minded enough to NOT see the value in another's viewpoint (i.e. "the american version of democracy is the only way"...), and arrogant enough to think that the rest of us should actually *change* our views. Other countries *envy* the US lifestyle - generally speaking, its a wealthy and carefree existence, compared with most other countries. This is NOT the same as jealousy. However, the "american society" fails to understand that their moral certitude, can only be interpreted and applied within the context of their own society. Finally, the US public needs to come to terms with the fact that their government is utterly corrupt... Just watch the news: Americans recently saying "stop showing Abu Gharib photos, or US soldiers will be attacked..." Well, if the ORIGINAL soldiers had a social conscience, the whole Abu Gharib fiasco wouldn't have happened... Better yet, if Bush hadn't gone into Iraq in the first place, the problem wouldn't exist. Essentially, its about karma...and once the chinese become a bit more economically established, I'm going to be glad I'm not american... Because what goes around, COMES AROUND.
Indeed post-secondary education is cheaper there relative to American $, but where I came from (Philippines), there's a lack of middle class citizenry. If you don't already have the money, it's highly unlikely that you ever will outside of benevolent contributions. While our government does have problems, at least it doesn't suppress social mobility.

1. ww2 most of the people killed in ww2 was not the us but the russian,greeks.
us joined the war at about 1944 and so nothing of the cruelty of the nazis, so you didnt save us here.
2. the people dont hate the americans only their foreign policy. war to get oil, war to sell weapons, fight the communism to get to the narcotics made in the east.(question: what was the gain in vietnam,irak,iran,afghanistan??? to kill one terrorist is it ok to kill thousands of people????) that is the problem. Some think that the US is the terrorist against many nation in the east
3. i heard a guy talk about culture. a country that is only 300 or 400 years old(i dont know exactly). what about china, greece, egypt, italy ... they dont have culture??? 5000 year of culture isnt enough???
4. Probably most us citizens dont hear about such think because your government dont allow to show such thinks. is this freedom???

229 years? lol, do you think thats a long time or something? I can assure you that the basis of our country came from the european superpowers of the time. How can you say that America is best when it is the offspring of some other place? You talk like somehow America just fell from the sky 229 years ago.
And to anyone who talks about us Americans saving the world from the nazis, if people would pick up a book once in a while they would quickly find that it was indeed the Russians who suffered the most against the nazi threat. It is true that America had several hundred thousand casualties, 300,000 approximately, but when you take into account that the soviet union itself had a total of at least 20 MILLION casualties, against the same enemy (nazi Germany) it can put things into perspective maybe a little bit. Not to mention all of the civilian suffering throughout all of europe that the United States suffered extremely little of (Pearl Harbor) during this period by comparison.
Perhaps we Americans should be investing more money into our school history programs? :Q
