Because they will be really tired after their workout?

If you're too tired to walk 100 yards, you should be in a hospital or a wheelchair.

I ask that of people going to the mall. These are not people going to buy groceries, and even if they were, they have carts. No, these are the people who go there, maybe buy 1 shirt/pant and have to spend an additional 5 minutes looking for a spot closer to the door when the farther spots are empty.

my personal policy is to park in the first available spot as soon as i turn into the parking lot.

pisses my passengers off tho.

How do you stop for a workout if you're driving a city bus?

I walk to the gym and back... 5 miles... uphill... both ways.

If you ran that you wouldn't even need the gym.

How do you eat anything while on the treadmill? I'm too busy breathing through that aperture...

Depends on the person... I wouldn't go to the gym to burn calories(alone basically) and lose weight... I'd go to get bulkier. :-/

I chose a gym that's close to where I work and live, so I can walk there and back.

And this excuses you from walking one extra football field? If that? I'm sorry, but lol. I'm not saying park far away intentionally, but anyone who goes to a gym and waits for a closer spot probably doesn't have the discipline to make any physical progress anyway. Never mind the fact that you could probably walk the extra distance in the time you spent waiting.

The only reasons to wait for a closer spot at a fricken gym are laziness or a serious medical condition.

Or because it's fricking 3 degrees outside and you don't want to freeze your ass off too bad before you get in there, and again o nthe way back? :p

You ever done a hard leg day an try to walk down/up stairs....

Up is fine, its the down that hurts...

And I don't mind parking far, (waiting x amount of minutes for a closer spot to the gym is kinda silly), but whenever i do i'm like man, i don't want to be burning these calories :(

I hate how people will circle the entire Walmart parking lot just to be close. I just get the first spot I see where I can drive right into the next so I don't have to backup to get out after, but if such space is not there I just take any other.

My mom actually turns around and goes back home if she can't find a spot within about 30 feet from the mall. It's sad. Yet she spends like 3 hours at the gym every single day, but refuses to walk long to get from the car to the mall. She's a health addict type person. Shakes, hardly no food, etc... don't know how people can live like that.

I go to the gym 2-3 times a week to componsate for the fact that I sit all day at the computer getting fat while eating poutine, burgers, pizza etc. Been trying to cut down on that dirty stuff though. :p I usually park far enough for the gym because the parking lot is usually full so I park on the street on the other side of the building. Feels nice to walk back in shorts to the car after a workout when it's 30 below.

I wonder why somebody gets on the treadmill and walks about 1.5 mph jabbering on their freaking cell phone for 30 minutes.....
