Why do people do this?

It's a waste of tires and gas, but thats about it. 😉

Because it's one of the only ways to display power while not really doing anything illegal.
 
All the newer cars are front wheel drive so that must be a lot harder. :laugh:

I don't know about the illegal part - seems to me the cops' ears are tuned to that sound. Slightest squeal and they turn like someone is shooting at them! :Q
 
Because it's the only way some people will ever leave a mark on this world 😛

Before they got a car they used spray paint or a Sharpie 😉

This is true...

I guess you're less likely to get "pulled over" in a parkinglot than when you're at a stoplight, though.
 
That's not peeling out, it's doing donuts. It's fun to do if you're in a big old empty parking lot. 🙂

What's going to happen when all the cars have ESP?

A friend of mine demonstrated ESP in his AMG - the car has a lot of power but will not spin out at all with it engaged. Turning it off (he says now the fun starts in some evil sounding cackle!) a big yellow caution light glows in the middle of the speedo and the thing will burn rubber like the General Lee. :laugh:
