why do people care about what other people do so much

As I have aged I have come to the realization that life is nuts and other people are too so why care so much about what other people do?
 
Until it affects me, I don't care what people do either. If they want to marry the same sex, their horse, or a painting I don't care. Problem is, that too many people think that I should believe what they do, so they try to force their believes into my life. That I have a problem with.
 
Good question. I find people in general are WAY too concerned and caught up in overall trivial bullshit.
 
Because some people think others should have to think as they do. Look at the P&N thread about the college firing the pregnant chick.
 
Just a bunch of busybodies.

The more they worry about others, the less they have to pay attention to how screwed up their own existence is.
 
Try walking naked in the middle of a mall. You're not cold. Why should you need clothes and why should other people care about your attire (or lack there of)?

I'm sure a lot of people on the site "People of Walmart" are wondering the exact same thing as the OP.

As a society we have a perception of what is social norm or common decency. We don't always agree on it. Some are very vocal about upholding it or where it is headed. Some view it as degradation while others view it as progression. "Think of the children".
 
Some people just like the feeling of control. Others dislike waste. And some think low of stupidity.

When you have a control freak who likes efficiency and dislikes stupidity, they tend to care too much about what other people do.

I'm working on it, but I will always be a control freak, and I will always dislike stupid people.

Life is not nuts...if you do have one...

People recently are obsessed with other people...to look over the shoulder...to "rat" someone out...etc...
Have you ever noticed, that if you make a post on forum, there always be people, who will search, look into what you've posted and about before....

How many people do have hobbies nowadays, like years before: collecting stamps, coins, records...etc? Same as in 60's-70's-80's?

Can all communicate with other people like it was before cell phone/iphone came in?

Is texting easier that actually calling someone?
