So in another forum dominated by teenagers the topic of 64-bit cpus came up. One guy said
Well, this made my skin crawl so I responded saying that basically 2 cores does not mean a 64 bit processor and it has nothing to do with it. Gave the example of my quad core not being a 128 bit processor and my Athlon 64 being a 64 bit processor. His response was
My goodness, needless to say my response was something like "You don't have a clue here several links to prove it" and gave a few wikipedia articles to back it up, making it very clear that I wasn't disputing his computer being 64 bit but that his logic behind why it was 64 bit was completely wrong.
This is not an uncommon occurrence. More then once I see people trying to act authoritative on things they have no clue about (making themselves look bad) and it seems the only way to stop them is with a smack down of epic proportions.
Do you have any stories like this?
I have a iMac Core2Duo 2.8GHz. The two cores are bound together to form a 64 bit.

I know what I'm talking about. The cores are linked to make it a 64bit computer.
Don't believe me? I can run 64bit apps, and 64bit OS's.
