Why do PCs improve so rapidly, but it takes decades to get spray paint cans that open without a screwdriver?

Seriously. I bought some spray on polyurethane coating at home depot today, and it had a cap that you can just squeeze and pull off, rather than the typical one that takes either cracking the thing or using a screwdriver to get it off. How long have they been selling spray paint like that? Since the 60s? Longer? Why does it take them 40 years to redesign a spray paint cap? PCs can improve in speed by 10 times in 5 years, cell phones add new capabilities every month, and it takes 40 years for someone to think of something as simple as squeezable spray paint cap?

I never have to use a screw driver to open them...I guess I just know where to apply pressure and twist at the right time....that, or I don't know my own strength!

Also, alot of people use a flat screw driver to open house paint cans. Me...I just use a coin. LOL

I always just push hard enough till the plastic breaks, they never just pop off without cracking.

And if the kid manages to get the cap off the can he's going to do what exactly? Get paint on himself? No, he'll die! I managed to operate spray paint perfectly effectively at the age of 10 or so, despite the annoying screwdriver-requiring caps.

I simply smash the cap against my workbench and go about my business.....much easier.
