Why do parents name their children the same name as their last name?

Why would anyone do this? Never trust someone who has a name like this...it's almost as bad as someone with a last name that is also a first name...

because their parents are hippie stoners.

My friend's roommate's BF (I've met the BF when I was over at my friend's house and my friend told me the story about the BF) who's last name is Seed. His hippie parents thought it would be funny to name their kids after things that have seeds. So the BF's brother is named Mustard and he is named Leaf.

And I don't trust people with two first names, if their first and last name are the same, or if their first and last name rhyme.

Because they are sadistic and like to think of what'll happen to their poor kid.

Or they're just mildly retarded.
