Why do naps in class feel SOOOOO good?

You can take them at home, or during break or what not, but nothing feels as refreshing as the ones you take in class.

Didn't get enough sleep so I slept in my first class of the day, and yeah.. I feel better now. 🙂

<---Used to have spiral ring binder impressions on my cheek his entire senior year

I saw the funniest thing this morning during one of my classes. This guy fell asleep in class and had his head propped up with his hand. Next thing you hear...smack. The guys head hits the desk and he shoots awake. The entire class began to chuckle.

yes, sleeping is class = best sleep evar.

i know what you're talkn about.. one of those 15 min naps, and you feel perfectly refreshed for the rest of the day! as if that was all the sleep you needed!

well, then if we are going to tell stories...

high school college alebra teacher used to keep a roll of duct tape around... anyone that fell asleep he'd get a student on the side of the sleeper to assist him in duct taping him/her to their desk (above their back, below the desk, above their back, below the desk...) until they woke up.

I only saw it once but it was quite humorous.

My junior year, my teacher had a water bottle and would squirt sleeping people on the zipper to wake them up. Of course, every now and then someone would wake up and think that they had, in fact, pissed themselves.

He also used a hammer if the water didnt wake you up, instead of squirting more he would smack the underside of the desk with the hammer. Not much fun to be on the recieving side

i almost fell asleep in my class last thursday morning.

then right before class ended he decided to give a pop quiz..

good thing it wasn't really worth anything (more so for attendance purposes)...so he helped me to correct me mistakes.

argh..i've never been that tired before..i thought he was going to kill me for looking like i was gonna pass out any second. my prof is cooler than i thought i guess.

Why nap in class when you can just stay in bed all day? 🙂

<---- Just woke up, missing 6 hours of class today. I have a midterm tonight 🙁

Not nearly as funny as the guy who fell asleep in one of my junior high classes and pitched a Levi tent while snoozing. Fear of random wood and the subsequent mockery always kept me awake in class. 😛

I've never in my life fallen asleep in class, I just can't imagine it goes over well with the teacher. always forced myself to stay awake.

it was hard at times let me tell ya!!!!!

u knw i'll tell u an embarrassing moment..actaully a couple of 'em..

i was sleeping in class, and i had a dream that i was back home doing some homework...

u knw when you're home, it's OK to FART....so yeah that's exactly what i did, only to wake up to crazy laughter all around me 🙁

and of course, i drool sometimes and it's embarrassing...
and one time i was sleeping but it was on the uncomfy chair..and my head banged this other dude's head next to me...that was kinda embarrassing...

i knocked my head really hard on the lecture table once....

sometimes ill wake up during class with just a tad of drool on my hand or something, i slowly peek around and wipe it off my hand or my face without people noticing until its gone then i just pop up. ive let a few barking spiders out before but i just looked at the other guy.

one time i was wide awake and was sitting low in the chair and raised up/pulled myself up in the chair and let a big one out, omfg it was not right, funny thou

When I was in college, one of my class was a lecture hall of about 500 people. They would always dim the lights for the projectors. Sure enough I would fall asleep. Propted up by one hand, with mouth wide open, drool came down my mouth the entire time I was asleep. I would wake up at the end of class only to notice a big puddle of drool under my desk. The two students next to me just looked at me and shook their head.

I usually like sleeping in though, that way I don't have anybody bugging me in class.
In my junior year in high school, my AP US History teacher had a newspaper article of a teacher killing another student for sleeping. I don't think anyone slept in that class, lol!

I've given pop quizzes when students were asleep or not paying attention.... free points to the rest of the class... (and a zero to the person not paying attention.) If I'm writing on the blackboard (or more often, the overhead projector), I just write: "be quiet: pop quiz. 1. What is your name. 2. What is the answer to: <question that is still left on the overhead for their notes> The awake and attentive students love to make fun of the kids who just got zeros.

Once, I even wrote: "raise your hand and be quiet for a hundred quiz grade... leave your hand down for a 0"
