I recently bought a Dell I8000 1GHz with a Ultra ATA 48GB HD and 256MB of SDRAM and my mp3s skip a lot. Is there any way to fix this?

Thanks,
Viper-Frag

P.S. It's running Win2K Pro SP1

No, I don't have a winmodem. I have a Xircom 56K + 10/100Mbps NIC PCMCIA card Type III
I doubt that could be the cause of the problem.

Maybe you are moving the laptop while playing it? It's like playing the portable CD... :) j/k

I'd say the chance of it being buffer size is pretty good.. Mess around with that and see if you can get anything to work better.
