Why do my knees ache the morning after drinking heavily?

It's because you don't drink enough. Drink enough and your knees will be the least of your concerns. ;)

i get the same thing. ill get it in my elbows and knees. sometimes in the muscles. i think its dehydration and lack of food. when i eat a meal before bed, i usually turn out fine the next day.

Because there is a build up of acid around your major joint areas that cause the pain.

I find various joints to be stiff "the morning after" but I figure it's because I pass out and stay in one position for several hours.

probably gout. alcohol causes exacerbations of the symptoms. drink a ton and find out :)
