Why do my headphones suck

So I got a pair of these big Sony mickey mouse type headphones..and when I plug it in, it doesn't seem to provide any more low range than a pair of my smaller headphones does. Are there any settings I should mess with?

Most sony headphones suck. Unless you have a V6, 7506, or one of the other really high end cans, it's probably crap.
