Why do muffins and certain breads give me the hiccups or make my throat feel weird?

I've noticed this for a long time. Whenever I eat muffins, banana or zucinni bread I will get this weird feeling in my throat, and sometimes it develops into hiccups. I only notice this when I'm eating the bread plain and when I'm not drinking anything with it. Does this happen to anyone? It's a strange phenomenon. Hard to describe. Am I weird?

No, I've had this problem too, I think it's because the bread soaks up moisture in the back of your throat but I'm usually wrong, so...:)

I am assuming that you do not know what the cause of hiccups is.

Those are the early symptoms of some awful terminal disease. It starts when you eat muffins and banana bread. Then it's any bread product. Before you know it you just can't stop hiccupping and you hiccup yourself to death. It's not a pretty thing to see, let alone go through.

I've had this problem forever. I LOVE bread. WHen I eat it too fast I get hiccups. Don't worry, just slow down and drink as well :)
