Why do morons slow down?

Why the hell do people slow down and cause bumper to bumper traffic when there is an accident on the other side of the highway? I mean there is a big concrete divider between the opposing traffic. I guess fvcking morons want to see what's going on. :|

What pisses me off more is when you are in a line of cars on the interstate doing a bit above the speed limit and the dick in front sees a cop and slams on the brakes.

Because they see flashing lights and flashing lights means police, right? I hate when people slow down when they see a cop car on the other side of the road, the cop is standing next to the car he pulled over, and people still slow down... as if the cop may turn his head, see you coming, and quick run to his radar to see if you're speeding.
