Why do Lincoln Burrows and Michael Scofield have different last names?

They always refer to each other as brothers..but are they really only half brothers with different dads? It's referenced that they have the same mother, but I could swear they have the same dad..of whom left when they were kids.

And if you don't understand the above, you might as well click back ;)

wikipedia lists that Michael takes his mother's maiden name when daddy ditched the family before he's born.

I don't remember ever hearing it on the show though.

what are you talking about? this could VERY WELL happen in real life. The whole planning, breaking out, escape, etc...all that could EASILY happen in real life ....:D

Haven't watched an episode yet this season. As far as I'm concerned, "Prison Break" ended when they "broke" out of "prison."

as great as the show is, i dont see how many seasons this show can last. what, they get arrested at end of season 2, plan escape at season 3, lather, rinse, repeat? :confused:
