Why do Italian guys walk around with their car keys in their hands?

Last weekend I was at an upscale shopping mall in Toronto and the majority of gino's I saw were carrying around their car keys and cell phone (sometimes even wallet) in their hands. Do they not like pockets?

This is calling for a parody thread using the word n*gger and watermelon -- it's just that horrible, but I don't wanna get permabanned

They want to show off the cars their parents bought them to everybody else in Yorkdale, I mean, the mall? ;)

Their pants are so damn tight they look painted on and the image they are attempting to portray have no room for bulges in the wrong place.

I actually do that all the time, because when I was in Taekwondo I used to stop by our local hangout over here "Cafe Cottage" and hang out with my friends, but would not change my pants. Since I my pants did not have any pockets I got used to carrying my keys around, and to this day I still do it out of habit.

What's your issue with Italians?. /Me checks for inferiority complex in an English man.

good question...

maybe their pants are too tight that they prefer to carry stuff as opposed to using pockets

Nope. I even witnessed it in stores.

This isn't the first time I've noticed this either.

wha....what?

I didn't even know 'g*nos' was a derogatory term since this is the first time I've heard it used.

I think it's a Canadian term, particularily in the GTA. I prefer other terms.

I just don't like bridgen. I really don't care, in fact I really think that we should be allowed to say anything without people being uptight.

Edit: What I really meant in my OP was that it would be an awesome parody, but I want to stay here. :p

I'm not sure if this is a Toronto-area phenomenon or what, but I know what you mean. Strangely, if the point was to show off/imply the car you drive is cool, they're often even not very impressive. Honda keychains? OooOOOoo. I'm real impressed that you were able to pick up your 16 year old girlfriend in your Civic. :p
