With no disrespect, Intel Boards don't suck. They arent made to overclock like the 3rd party motherboards. Intel motherboards are made for stability and reliability. (Not to say some 3rd party MoBos arent Stable or reliable). I have 2 of them and Both are great boards for what they are intended to do, WORK, everyday and all the time and no glitches. They are pretty much bullet proof. You can do some minor overclocking with them but thats the extent of it.

Proud owner of an Intel 955XBK and 975XBX2. Also an owner of Gigabyte and Asus.

For a machine with which I had no plans for overclocking, I'd strongly consider an intel board.

I think he means boards with the 945 chipset, including those made by other manus.

The answer is probably: "Because it's a six generation outdated board." I mean that chipset came out back in prescott days didn't it?

I am sure you are correct. And as for outdated, so is the 955X for that matter. But it still works perfectly. Intel stopped updating the bios and most drivers for these boards.
