Why do I like Clif bars so much?

For some strange reason I've always liked them. In the beginning, not so much but they grew on me. I really like the Carrot Cake, The Pumpkin one and the Apple one is cool but they retooled it and now it's not so good. Some of the other flavors are good.

It's a good substitute for candy because I'm lactose intollerant and can't have a candy bar. But I can eat a few of them in a single sitting.

Their Luna Bars are OK and MOJO bars are so-so too.

Upon first examination they have the smell and look of warmed over dogsh!t. And the first few bites are land assault on the tastebuds. But you warm up to them after a few chomps.

They are cheap and protein and fiber packed. Definitely a lot better for you than most other carb laden energy bars.

I have a peanut butter crunch for breakfast just about every day. The only ones I don't get sick of.

Oh, sweetness... didn't know they had season ones (I'm relatively new to Clif bars). I like them because they are less processed than other nutritional/protein bars and are whole grain. They taste good but without the candy bar levels of sugar other bars have. The only company I like better in this category is Matisse & Jack's (www.matisseandjacks.com) - I saw a sale one time on SlickDeals and decided to place an order. It was very delicious and satisfied my hunger with minimal amount of calories.

Some of them are good, some of are dreadfull (I've yet to try all of them). As for the seasonal flavors, I think there are only 3 now, the Pumpkin, iced gingerbread (not interested), and pear apple strudel (sounds interesting). Unfortunately they discontinued my favorite flavor- Caramel Apple Cobbler.:(

I like the Iced Gingerbread seasonal flavor, but can only eat so many. They're awfully sweet.

Other than that I've got cases of Peanut Toffee Buzz, Chocolate Chip Peanut, Cool Chocolate Mint, and Chocolate Brownie in my kitchen right now. I like the Peanut Butter Crunch too, but don't have any at the moment. Haven't gotten sick of any of those flavors yet, and I've eaten a lot of 'em while training for and competing in endurance mountain bike races.

I like the Peanut Chocolate Chip flavor. I think it tastes like Snickers.

Clif bars are great.

Had one of these the other day while headed through an airport, now everytime I'm in a place that sells Clif I'm looking for them.

Not really. I own a Subie because I live in New England where it snows. It doesn't have much to do with granola eating and such. Like I said before, I only eat the Clif bars because I'm lactose intollerant, I'd probably eat chocolate bars if I could.

God I long for the taste of a Three Muskateers or a Kit-Kat bar. I just can't deal with it.
