Well last few days been under the weather so sleep has been bad but usually 12am-1am and wake up by 8am.

If possible, try going to bed earlier. I don't have any explanation outside of circadian rhythms, but every hour of sleep before midnight is worth like 2 to my body. Dunno why. I just feel loads better when I get to sleep at like 9pm. But I hate going to bed early. Soooooo :D

Yeah I get what you mean. I hear about all of these older people at my work sleeping at 7pm, 8pm and they're all shocked I'm up til midnight. Is that what's in store for me in the next 10-20 years?

All I know is I feel awesome going to bed early. 8pm is insanely early, but I also feel great for all of my waking hours. Takes a few days to get kind of caught up if you're behind the sleep curve, plus it's really difficult because late evening is usually your true free time, so it's hard to fight the distractions of late-night food, netflix, etc. It's not a fight I've conquered quite yet :D

Yeah was doing a bunch of reading on those. I think "daylight" T8 tubes may also work. I will probably install some in my home office, I need more light in there anyway. But might get one of those lights for at work.

Being ginger, I actually don't need as much exposure for it to be effective, at least with the sun, not sure about artificial lighting. Problem is for most of the year here I don't even see the sun if I'm working (even day shifts) since it's dark in the morning and dark in the evening. So might see sun if I go home for lunch and that's it. When I'm on nights, well I'm sleeping during the light period. So yeah probably should get a SAD light. Maybe one at work and at home.

I don't think those will be bright enough but it sure wouldn't hurt especially if you already need more light in there. Something like this is what you need. 10,000 LUX and you are supposed to put it pretty close to your face like 20-30".

Hmmmm ... those "sun lights" are intriguing. Anyone have one? Do you keep them on like all day while at your desk? Or do you just keep them on for a short while?

Might look into DHEA. Helps some feel more energetic. But be careful messing with hormones. Maybe get some tests first.

I just bought a bottle myself - haven't tried any.

Why? You are married, with a wife.

Very soon with kid(s), you will be like this (if not already) -
