I've been hearing everyone talk about CPU's but they've always referred to them as Athlons, Athlon Thunderbirds...etc. But now I'm hearing for example 1.2 or 1.33Ghz AXIA....

Is there a difference here?

As of recent I keep hearing this word in the forums, but it never mentions the word "Axia" anywhere where CPU's are sold

Help! :(

Yes you are correct about amd cpus being called Athlons, Tbirds, etc. AXIA is just a stepping code, but the reason you are hearing the hype about AXIA is because they are high potential overclockers. If you look around the forum you will hear of people getting up to 1.4 with a 1.2 tbird. Hope that helped
