Why do I keep getting a call saying I won a free trip?

I have had 3 different calls in the last 3 months saying I won a free trip. One was to Hawaii, one was to Las Vegas, and one was to Florida.

They were from 3 to 5 day trips, with flight, hotel, and food. They all claimed no purchase was necessary to get the free trip, and that my phone number was randomly drawn to win this free trip. That the only thing was I had to go through some time share presentation. I refuse thinking it was a scam. So what is the deal on this.

yea, but if you go, they might just buy dinner for you. i've gone to a few timeshare presentations and one of the times, they served a hella nice buffet.
