Tonight my dad was trying to call my house & couldn't get thru. He finally called my cell & said the phone rang & rang & rang. So I knew something was wrong with the VOIP. So I waited 'til I got home & realized the 'gizmo' was not linked. Cable was fine, router was fine so I unplugged/replugged the gizmo & all was well again.
However, when I ran a speed test at testmy.net speeds were down around 1.5mb. (I'm 5mb service) So, then I unplugged everything & replugged in proper sequence. Ran another speed test & all was well.
All that to say this.........
Obviously my VOIP is either connected or it isn't...(maybe some middle ground there in voice quality but whatever)
But what happens when I reboot my modem that I can go from 1.5mb then 3mb. (still not full 5mb but maybe neighborhood's busy?).
Why isn't it either just "working" or "not working"??????????
TIA
