I do not understand why all 4 gb of ram is not useable when running Win 7 64 bit.. In control panel I get:

Rating: 5.3

Processor: Intel Core 2 CPU, 6400 @ 2.13ghz
Installed Memory RAM: 4.00 GB (2.44 GB usable)
Sytem Type: 64 Bit Operating System

My video is in a separate slot and has 512mb of memory.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

To the OP, what is bios seeing on boot up? all 4GB?
And are you SURE you're running 64bit OS? not the 32bit flavor of Win7?

Ah, I see what you are saying now.

Yeah, start by digging around in BIOS and seeing what it is detecting.

What kind of computer is this? A laptop? Desktop? Self-build or a whitebox producer?
