Front 120 mm fan uses beffy 4 pin... Rear 120 mmm uses small 3 pin ... Is the small connector supposed to be plugged into my MoBo?

The front 120 actually has 2 connectors: 1 4 pin female and 1 4 pin male? Why???

- mine is. i have 2 connectors on the motherboard, one for a power fan and one for a chassis fan...

- i think this is so you can power another device or fan and not waste the entire lead's power on 1 case fan. although my 80mm front fan is set up the same way 🙂

Yes, unless you have a 4-pin molex to 3 pin dongle.

The third pin on the fan is for speed sensor. Plug them into fan connectors on motherboard, and system can monitor fan speed, if you get a 4-pin lead from PSU to 3=pin adapter, fan will work, but speed will not be reported.
