Why do I hate my MX700?

I still play Quake III (not arena)

I have always had a mouse with the "eye" in the middle and above center. Well, this damn mouse has the "eye" almost next to my thumb... I am having a horrible time attempting to get used to this.

I have not installed the mouse software that came with it, will that make a significant difference?

I agree that this mouse has the best precision ever, but the balance point is not in the right place for me.

Also, on a normal mouse (focal point in middle) when I pivot it from side to side it will move the cursor... not this one.

I sure hope I can find a way to use this mouse in my game of choice.

huh dont seem to see any difference, except that i dont like the scroll wheel.

I love my MX700 except I'd rather have a real middle mouse button and the scroll wheel by my thumb.
