this happens consistently, year round.
25 mpg from one place (gulf/hess next to each other, doens't matter which), 30 from another maybe 5 miles away (sunoco).
maybe you're filling up the tank more when you gas up at sunoco...and then fill it up a little less when you fill up a gulf/hess???? <--- just a shot in the dark
I know someone who found that. One places gave much worse mileage than another.
Not all fuel is created the same, there will be different impurities etc in the fual, this might effect the quality of gas, and how well it works in your car.
Have you considered that maybe the amount of gas you have in your car can affect it, because that is a bit of extra weight to carry. I've noticed that I get better mileage when I keep my car around half a tank. I couldn't tell you why, but I know it's saving me money
